Marketing in the news blog post

 I chose to write about the newest sports team Al-Nasssr FC located in Saudi Arabia. Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the greatest football players of all time, has joined AlNassr FC in Saudi Arabia. This is a major move for both Ronaldo and the club, and fans around the world are excited to see what the future holds.

The three main points in this article are how Ronaldo can help AlNassr FC grow their name. He talked about how he had frustration with his managers on the team and that is why he is joined the team. His following on social media will also bring fans over. Ronaldos main source of social media is instagram, with over 500 million followers, he can have his loyal fans follow along on his new journey and see what he can do for the team. The article also brings up his contract. This contract deal is the richest contract in sports history, being worth 200 million for 2.5 years.

The value proposition of Cristiano Ronaldo joining AlNassr FC is that it brings a global football superstar to the Saudi Arabian league and the club. Ronaldo has had a very successful career, but has yet to win the FIFA World Cup. He is hoping that with a new team, he can do something he has always wanted to accomplish.

Ronaldo joining the team also makes for a great marketing tactic. He is one of the biggest names in soccer, so when AlNassr heard he was looking for a new team, they knew they had to grab him. This brings his whole fan base over to his new team, and that will allow them to profit off all of his New Jersey sales. This new team is located near Dubai which has been know for their very lavish living. This means that this new team has the money to spend, which is way they decided to make a big contract deal for one of the biggest players in the sport.

The marketing approach on this was very good and perfectly timed. Ronaldo has bounced around teams plenty of times and has had a lot of success in his recent years. The approach comes after being benched in the World Cup. He was benched for a younger player, after this player scored three goals in a much needed world cup win. This caused troubles on the team, which is another reason he wanted to leave. AlNassr saw that he was unhappy and shocked the soccer community when they heard the news.

If I was the brand/product manager, I would use Cristiano Ronaldos as the face of the team. His name and face alone will be what brings the fans to this new up and coming team. People will cheer him on, in hopes the team to a World Cup trophy.

 The service I selected was Apple Music. This service is being talked about right now, because it took over the Super Bowl halftime show. This is a big thing, since Pepsi has been the main sponsor of the halftime show for over a decade.  This company's value proposition is " Apple is for the people who Think Differently, who see the world differently, who change it." People are having mixed feelings about Apple Music taking over this halftime show. On Apple Musics Instagram, one person says, " I’m not even going to consider watching the half time show this year". This person is not happy with Apple Musics decision to bring Rhianna to the halftime show. Another person from a different perspective says "  Time to turn up the volume!   #BadGalRihanna   is taking over the Super Bowl, and it's going to be legendary."
